TIESTO

I went to see DJ Tiesto play last night. It was a sold-out, trance sensation. I'm happy to have my good friend Zach visiting me right now, though I'm not much of a hostess. I only have an inflatable bed as far as furniture goes, and I work all day. Tonight our other friend John Michael comes from Washington. We haven't seen him since college so it will be an exciting reunion--probably complete with mezcal and more tacos. Speaking of tacos, they are good here.

So Tiesto is a phenomenon I was not familiar with before last night. My coworker got us tickets and I didn't know what to expect. What I found was that the Mexican culture does not include trance dance, (though is incredible at salsa and other latin dance). The crowd just stood there bobbing with their cell phones in the air, watching him turn some knobs. The few who were grooving down on those beats kept it alive. Zach was one of them, and so was I after the Absolut Disco came into play.
