View from my balcony--taken by Wes.
I'm watching a lot of Mad Men and Project Runway. Wes just left after having visited during his spring break--I'll have photos up soon. Now I have the apartment to myself because the bachelors are off to the beaches of Acapulco. I'm thinking about bringing back the blog. Mexico City is the perfect temperature right now. I am taking care of Alabama, Wade's hound dog, so I spend more time in the parks than usual. Today I went on the Turibus for the first time with Patrick and his friends visiting from the great white north. It was great to see the city (and my own neighborhood) described from a tourist's point of view.
Tomorrow is a Mexican national holiday, but I'm going into work so that I can go to Austin this Thursday and Friday. I miss my friends! AND: riding bikes, PTerry's, soy milk, town lake, sxsw free shows, Quack's, my old coworkers at S\W, vintage shopping, movies, cheap electronics, my hairdresser Joey (who I can't afford anymore), and Miller High Life.
Right now I'm reading "Fidel's Last Days" and am enjoying the adventure. Both of the fictional plot to murder Fidel, and my clumsy attempt to read while commuting on the bus. Last week I accidentally stabbed the bus driver in the eye with my pencil while sitting next to him on his co-pilot stool.
